Zinaida Kurbatova will talk about the dacha life on the Karelian Isthmus through the story of her family, the family of Academician Dmitry Likhachev, who was an avid dacha dweller.
The audience will learn about Akademgorodok and dacha cooperative ‘Scientist’ in Komarovo, its eminent residents, the artists, who captured Komarovo in artwork, and also about Komarovo’s eccentrics. The lecture is titled ‘Private Chronicles. Komarovo’ since its main subject is the private and secret life of dacha dwellers.
