Olga Brigadnova is a philologist and literary historian. The area of her academic interests is Russian Silver Age poetry.

The theme of the lecture is ‘Nabokov and Voloshin. The story of one meeting in the Crimea in 1918’.

The lecture is about a meeting which was very important for Vladimir Nabokov's creative work. In 1918 the young novice writer met with Maximilian Voloshin, a poet, artist, literary and art critic. An attempt will be made to show how this meeting may have influenced the young Nabokov's poetics, creative style and themes.
