The poetics of Boris Pasternak’s poems of the 1910s-1920s is distinguished by unprecedented courage and complexity. The poet created a unique poetic language, equally as mesmerising as incomprehensible. Despite the many attempts to explain the ‘dark’ Pasternak, many things in his poetics remain mysterious and impenetrable. The monograph ‘The Poetic Language of Pasternak. «My Sister — Life» through the Prism of Idioms’ (Moscow: LRC Publishing House, 2021) offers a new interpretation of Pasternak’s dark poems.

The event will be in person at the Vladimir Nabokov Museum, 47 Bolshaya Morskaya Street
