The tale of Cranes continues the literary tradition going back to the ancient War of the Mice and the Frogs and Chaucer’s The Parliament of Birds. On Bird Court, an island in South Antarctica, an unusual symbiosis of rodents and flightless birds has developed. The cranes believe that advanced technology of rodents will help the birds find a life of happiness and prosperity. However, evolution has its own laws, and someone always comes to the finish line first.
